Here are a few poems from my new book "God's Kissing Booth".

She had finally aged enough

to become

truly lovely.

Open, soft,

floating,

breathing life.

Flowers sprung from her fingers,

clouds floated in her hair,

a big pink moon sat on her shoulder,

waiting for night.

Immense was her welcome.

Animals and all manner of hearts,

from bruised to billowy,

took up residence in her smile,

in her magnetic eyes.

Rain loved falling on her,

creeks went far out of their way

to find her toes.

The wind

used up all its kisses

on her

rosy

cheeks.

She had become a living vessel,

pouring love into

anything that would drink.

Fear,

anger,

sadness and despair

all fell mute at her feet.

With nothing more to live for,

they cast themselves into her loving sea.

She had become the universe,

giggling, dancing,

kissing anything that moved.

And when God had finally seen enough,

He sighed a delighted sigh

and whispered,

come my love, come”.

She smiled playfully

and dissolved.

The ocean is having a party

tonight.

And just to make sure

the waves

will be decked out

in their finest,

frothy

attire,

the wind is bringing

her dancing shoes.

God must wonder

what it will take to get

our attention.

Every moment, explosions of life

and hardly anyone bats an eye.

Riots of flowers

leaping into existence,

dancing

to

symphonic

winds,

have you noticed?

Trees,

they could just lay there,

but no,

they stand up

all

day

long

proclaiming beauty in

leaves,

branches

and monumental trunks.

Not exactly shy,

are they?

A thousand birds have

a thousand ways

of singing the same

song of love.

There are reasons

you have ears.

All of these are God,

jumping up and down,

waving His arms,

trying to get us to see

how

much

we’re

loved.
